This is my first letter to the editor. But reading the Sept. 21 article on Page A2 about poor Ross Perot, ``shut out of debates,'' to use free TV time, inspired me. He has appeared on ``Good Morning America'' and his running mate, Pat Choate, was on ``Talk Back Live.'' I can't feel sorry for him, though.
I'm a member of the Libertarian Party, the only real third party in every state for many years, with office holders and real candidates running in every local and national election. We've been unable to get to Page A2, on ``Good Morning America,'' on ``Talk Back Live'' or in the debates. We have to struggle just to get on the ballots.
How many of you have even read or seen anything about the Libertarian Party or know who our candidate for president is?
It's my politically incorrect opinion that Perot is largely a distraction, a decoy, created out of the Demo-Republican forces to keep Americans from knowing any authentic alternatives are available. Harry Browne, the Libertarian candidate, should be in the debates. His running mate, Jo Jorgenson, a woman, should also be able to debate the VP candidates.
I encourage all who can clear the fog from their minds to investigate a real third party and vote for Harry and Jo.
