ARCHITECTURE
Douglas B. Routh was appointed an intern with Rancorn Wildman Krause Brezinski Architects in Newport News. He formerly worked for Simon & Walther in Columbia, Mo., and Scearce and Associates in Warsaw, Ind.
Louis A. Sanders has joined Glenn & Sadler. Prior to this, he was with Ballou Justice Upton in Virginia Beach.
ARTS
Lisa Ann Feltman was named assistant director for Ports Events, a non-profit organization that produces special events for the city of Portsmouth. Feltman will also remain special events manager for the organization. She was most recently events manager.
BANKING
Millie G. Wilkerson was promoted to vice president and group manager of the retail in-store branches for Central Fidelity's eastern region. She joined the bank in September 1995 and previously served as assistant branch manager of the Phoebus branch in Hampton.
Jeremy R. Starkey and Brenda Eaton-Michaels, previously assistant vice presidents of Cenit Bank, were named vice presidents. Additionally, Starkey was named financial district area executive with the responsibility of management and business development of Cenit's Main Street Tower and Ghent offices. Eaton-Michaels is manager of the bank's Little Creek Road office and acting manager of Princess Anne Bank's Pembroke office. Princess Anne Bank is the affiliate bank of Cenit in Virginia Beach. She will assume responsibilities as sales development manager for sales training of all branch office managers and manager trainees.
COLLECTION SERVICES
Carson W. Cross was named president and chief executive officer of Capital Recoveries, a credit and collection agency in Virginia Beach. He was previously an associate executive director within the Humana Hospital chain.
HOSPITALITY
Susan Bowerman was named director of sales at the Ramada Plaza Resort Oceanfront. She was formerly with the Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Center. Also, Audrey Hornberger was promoted to assistant director of sales. She has been in the hospitality industry for over 10 years.
HEALTH CARE
Joanne M. Cotton, a registered dietitian, was named director of nutrition services at Beverly Manor of Portsmouth. She was previously a clinical dietitian for Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
Dr. Patrick F. Kilhenny has opened a practice in Norfolk. He specializes in neurology and neuro-ophthalmology. Prior to this, he was an assistant professor of neurology and neuro-ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Juan Gelpi, a general surgeon, was named a new parter with Coastal Surgical Specialists. He completed his residency at the New England Medical Center at Tufts University and had a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids, Mich.
MANUFACTURING
Al Pichelli was named general manager of Teledyne Brown Engineering Hasting Instruments in Hampton. Prior to this, he was senior vice president at Teledyne Laars in Moorpark, Calif.
James Fisher was named vice president and general manager of Ingersoll-Dresser Pump Co. in Chesapeake. He was previously vice president and general manager of Scienco Products, a business unit of Ingersoll-Dresser Pump Co.
TRAVEL
Trina Jackson and Marianne Juliano were promoted to district managers at CI Travel. Jackson will oversee operations at the Pembroke, Shore Drive, Hilltop, Lynnhaven, Greenbrier and Fairfield branches. She was previously branch manager at the Hilltop location. Juliano will oversee operations at the World Trade, Ghent, Wards Corner, Chesapeake Crossroads, Churchland, Great Bridge and Janaf branches. She has been branch manager of several CI Travel locations.
