A man who apparently attempted to drive away from a two-car accident - one of three he apparently was involved with - was severely injured Sunday afternoon, police said, when his damaged car burst into flames.
The identity of the man, who was listed in serious condition in the Burn Trauma Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, was not immediately known.
Police said the last of the accidents, in the 300 block of E. Little Creek Road, occurred about 5:45 p.m. when two cars collided.
