James Harry Kelso died Oct. 2, 1996, in a local hospital.
He was a retired senior master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force with 23 years of service. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Kelso; a son, Dale Kelso of Virginia Beach; daughters, Eve Royer of Virginia Beach and Julie White of Pennsylvania; his mother, Hazel Hartenstein; a sister, Glenna Nelson of Florida; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Hampton National Cemetery with full military honors. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is in charge.
