Raebon John Cooke Jr., 57, of the 6300 block of Palem Road, died Oct. 5, 1996, in Norfolk.
Mr. Cooke was born in Northampton County, N.C., and was the widower of Margaret Sue Cooke. He was a retired master carpenter.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Cooke-Howell and a son, Raebon John Cooke III, both of Suffolk; his mother, Tonita D. Cooke of Norfolk; a brother, Haywood Donald Cooke of Tulsa, Okla.; and three grandsons, Christopher, Raebon IV and Steven.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Colonial Grove Memorial Park by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will be at 429 Smith Lane, Virginia Beach. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements.
