The body of a 48-year-old man was found Sunday morning in the rear of the Thomas Nelson Hotel in the 200 block of Granby St., police said.
The body of Thomas S. Battle, whose last known address was in the 900 block of Liberty St., was found about 8 a.m. in an alley behind the hotel, police said.
The case was being handled as a homicide.
