MILTON A. CLARK

Dr. Milton A. Clark, died Oct. 8, 1996, after a brief illness.

Dr. Clark was born in Baltimore, Md., on Oct. 25, 1908. He moved to Norfolk at an early age with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clark. After attending public schools in Norfolk and upon graduating from Maury High School, he entered the University of Virginia where he completed his pre-dental studies. He continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia, receiving his degree as a doctor of dental surgery in 1933.

After his graduation from dental school, Dr. Clark was engaged in the general practice of dentistry in Norfolk until his retirement in 1985. From 1949 to 1962, Dr. Clark and his family resided in Virginia Beach. He was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple, Norfolk. A past president of the Tidewater Dental Society, Dr. Clark was also a life member of the Virginia and the American Dental associations. He was a fellow of the Virginia Dental Association and an alumni member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Minnie Z. Clark; three daughters, Arlene C. Rephan and Brenda C. Stein, both of Virginia Beach, and Suzanne C. Geshekter of La Mesa, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Sydney B. Clark of La Jolla, Calif., Dr. Mervin Clark of Oklahoma City, Okla.

A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Arnold G. Fink of Alexandria, Va. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will sit Shiva at Dr. Clark's home, 601 Pembrooke Ave, Apt. 603, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Sentara Home Care and Hospice Services or to a charity of donor's choice.
