Richard Dawson ``Dick'' Hodges died Oct. 3, 1996, at his home.
He was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard. Among his many accomplishments, he was a dog show judge and breeder of German shepherds, a longhorn cattleman and recently received his law degree.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Hodges; his son, David Hodges; six grandchildren and his godson, Wayne Douglas Thurnher.
A memorial service will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Hospice Society, 1450 Research Blvd., Suite 310, Rockville, Md. 20850. Rapp Funeral Home, Silver Spring, Md., is in charge.
