Willie Curtis Garnes Jr., 62, died Oct. 7, 1996, in a local hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Della R. Garnes; daughters, Terry Williford, Ginger Woodington and Cathy Garnes; sons, Willie Garnes III, Teddy Garnes and Daniel Garnes; sisters, Rose VanDyke and Rita Adkins; brothers, Clarence Ellis and James Garnes; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge.
