EDWARD MARZ

Edward Marz, of the 700 block of Red Mill Road, died Oct. 8, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Marz was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rosie Goldsmith Marz. He was a master Mason with the Philippine Grand Lodge. He was a longtime member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and sang in the church choir for over 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Dorcas Webb Marz; a son, Bryan Edward Marz of Norfolk; a daughter, Beth Marz Johnson and her husband, Jim, of Chesapeake; two brothers, Raymond Decosta of Rhode Island and Walter Marz of Massachusetts; a sister, Freida Vasbinder of Ohio; two beloved granddaughters, Melanie and Christie Johnson of Chesapeake.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Freedom Baptist Church, 308 N. Centerville Turnpike, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Anthony Diffenbaugh. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
