Foye Jernigan Morris, 92, died Oct. 8, 1996, in Guardian Care Nursing Home.
Born in Bertie County, she was the widow of Sebron Carr Morris and a homemaker. Mrs. Morris was a member of St. John's Baptist Church, Aulander.
Survivors include seven daughters, Syble M. Mitchell, Lois M. Lassiter, Marie M. Harrell, all of Ahoskie, Margie M. Liverman of Aulander, Barbara M. Perry of Lewiston, Edna M. Matthews of Colerain and Sylvia M. Macon of Cary; two sons, Walter Morris of Newport Richey, Fla., Staley Morris of Melbourne, Fla.; two sisters, Clara Mae Phelps of Colerain and Reva White of Aulander; 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Friday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Titus Carraway. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie. The family will be at the home of Margie Liverman, Route 1, Box 182C, Aulander, N.C. Memorial donations may be made to the Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910 or to a favorite charity.
