MARY E. MOORE

Mary E. Moore, 95, of the 2400 block of Cedar Road, died Oct. 8, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Born in Norfolk County, she was the widow of Louis E. Moore. Mrs. Moore was a member and former usher of Lee's Chapel A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Perry of Chesilhurst, N.J., and Hattie Williams of Rahway, N.J.; two sons, James Fenner Jr. of Elizabeth, N.J., and Seaton B. James Jr. of Chesapeake; four sisters, Rosa Lee Smith, Beatrice Bell, Sophia Alexander and Mamie Moyler, all of Chesapeake; a brother, Enoch Etheridge of Chesapeake; 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was predeceased by two daughters, Alberta Roberts and Verma Peacock.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Lee's Chapel A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. H.B. Cross. Viewing will be at noon today in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Etheridge Family Cemetery, Chesapeake.
