WILLIAM H. PALMER

William Henry Palmer, 75, of the 900 block of Avenue E, died Oct. 5, 1996, in his home.

A native of Greenville, N.C., he was the son of the late James and Mary Palmer. He was employed by the City of Norfolk's streets and bridges department. He was the widower of Melvin Inez Palmer.

Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Higgs, Doris Richardson, Sherry Palmer, Jeanette Black, Sandra Jean Palmer and Darlene Palmer; sons, William Palmer Jr., Ricky Palmer, Jerry Palmer, Gary Palmer, and Micheal Palmer; 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Queen Street Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. today. The family will assemble at the church at 12:15 p.m. today for visitation and a procession.
