HAROLD A. BUSTLE

Harold Allen Bustle, 84, of 307 Main St., died Thursday morning, Oct. 10, 1996, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk.

Mr. Bustle was born in Cornelius, N.C., the son of the late Henry Allen Bustle and Mrs. Virginia Washam Bustle Craig. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served as a specialist first class. A scientific illustrator, he had retired from the U.S. Naval Oceanographic office. He was a member of Gatesville United Methodist Church and the Gatesville Ruritan Club.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Carter Bustle; a daughter, Harriet Bustle Carter, and her husband, Robert B. Carter III of Kill Devil Hills; four grandchildren, Byron, Allen, Dustin and Ginger Carter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Gatesville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lisa Creech Bledsoe and the Rev. C.C. Blythe Jr. Burial will follow in the Gatesville Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Miller Funeral Home, and all other times at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Gatesville United Methodist Church or to a favorite charity.
