Norman H. Williams of the 900 block of Philpotts Road died Oct. 9, 1996.
A native of Newport News, Mr. Williams was a Baptist and a retired ship fitter at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred L. Williams; a son, Norman H. Williams; a sister, Audrey Allen; a brother, Jess Willard Williams; and a grandchild, Pollyanna Williams.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Chatman Funeral Chapel, Norfolk, by the Rev. Finley O. Jones. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Fund. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
