Samuel William Ferguson Jr., 98, of the 2400 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., died Oct. 3, 1996, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Ferguson was a member and deacon of New Hope Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Mildred Alexander of Ohio; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private in Ohio. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
