Katie Mae ``Kay-Kay'' Jones Payne of the 1100 block of Jernigan Ave. died Oct. 9, 1996, at her home of natural causes.
Born in Selma, Ala., she was the widow of Roy Payne. She retired as laundry supervisor for the VA Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruthie ``Peaches'' L. Owens; and grandchildren, Mallory L. Domio, Stephanie E. Midgette, Terence C. Domio, Byron C. Domio; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Hale Funeral Home Chapel, 2100 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, where a wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m Monday. The family will receive friends at 1121 Jernigan Ave., Apt. E. The family will assemble at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
