Jessie Mae McIver, 91, of the 2100 block of Cromwell Drive, died Oct. 10, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Born in Wanchese, N.C., she was the widow of Joseph D. McIver Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Jessie H. Hines of Portsmouth, Edna Earle Bangley of Luray, Va., Alma Virginia Reece of Louisville, Ky.; a son, Joseph D. McIver Jr. of Norfolk; a brother, Herman Midgett of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
