Viola E. White, 79, a longtime resident of Williamsburg, passed away this 11th day of October 1996.
Mrs. White was born in Dearborn, Mich., and was the daughter of the late Leslie and Kathline Corney. She was the widow of Cary E. White. Mrs. White retired from Peninsula Harware in the 1970s.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly W. Crisp and Kenneth M. Crisp of Currituck; her son and daughter-in-law, Carlton E. White and Julie B. White of Roanoke; a sister, Mitilda Moody; two brothers, Steve Corney and Joe Corney, all of Dearborn; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Williamsburg Memorial Park by the Rev. Thomas E. Pugh. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the home in Williamsburg from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Albemarle Home Care (Hospice) at P.O. Box 189, Elizabeth City, N.C. 27907.
