Joe B. Worrell Sr., 74, of the 1200 block of Des Moines Ave., died Oct. 12, 1996, in the V.A. Hospital, Hampton.
He was born in Murfreesboro, N.C., and was a retired cement finisher. He was a member of Mount Zinia Baptist Church in Como, N.C., and Club De Porres. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Cornelia B. Worrell; a daughter, Diane Booker; three sons, Joe B. Worrell Jr., Robert Worrell and the Rev. Jonnie Worrell; a sister, Ella M. Worrell; 14 grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
