Sarah Elizabeth Winston ``Spooky'' McPherson died Oct. 11, 1996.
Born in Princess Anne County, she was a member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and was involved in various church activities.
Survivors include two sons, Dwayne McPherson, Corey Keith McPherson, both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mary Spence, Martha Walston, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Eross Winston of Virginia Beach, William Winston of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, D'Andre Spady of Arlington, Texas, DeLisa McPherson of Virginia Beach; a daughter-in-law, Stephaine McPherson of Virginia Beach; a friend of the family, Linwood McPherson, father of Dwayne and Corey; five aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in New Oak Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. O.L. Cromwell II. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
