Bonifacia G. ``Bonnie'' Abascal, 92, of the 5600 block of Tidewater Drive, died Oct. 14, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Abascal was a native of Santander, Spain. She was the widow of Marcos A. Abascal and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa A. Garcea of Virginia Beach, Josephine A. De Soto of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Maria T. Garcea-Wise, Lucia G. Cannon, Mark F. Garcea, Rita G. Amorese, all of Virginia Beach, and Anne Marie Yeattes of Emporia, Va.; and six great-grandchildren.
A church service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. by Father Edward L. Richardson in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
