G. CURTIS THOMAS

George Curtis ``Curt'' Thomas, 82, died Oct. 15, 1996, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Lee County, he was the son of the late Milton and Laura Hargrave Thomas and the widower of Lila Wolfe Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a retired supervisor with the Virginia Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Walters Hunt Club, Franklin Moose Lodge and he was a Methodist.

Survivors include his son, Ray Thomas of Carrsville; two brothers, Price Thomas of Indiana, Ora Thomas of Rosehill; two grandsons; and a devoted friend, Laura Martin of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. David M. Jendrey. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home and at other times at 3801 Little Creek Road. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
