George Curtis ``Curt'' Thomas, 82, died Oct. 15, 1996, in Obici Hospital.
A native of Lee County, he was the son of the late Milton and Laura Hargrave Thomas and the widower of Lila Wolfe Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a retired supervisor with the Virginia Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Walters Hunt Club, Franklin Moose Lodge and he was a Methodist.
Survivors include his son, Ray Thomas of Carrsville; two brothers, Price Thomas of Indiana, Ora Thomas of Rosehill; two grandsons; and a devoted friend, Laura Martin of Suffolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. David M. Jendrey. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home and at other times at 3801 Little Creek Road. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
