PRINCE A. POWERS SR.

Prince Albert Powers Sr., 66, of the 500 block of Reed Court died Oct. 13, 1996, in Autumn Care of Suffolk.

He was a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. He was an Army veteran and retired from Naval Air Station as production controller. He was the son of the late Ellis L. Powers and the late Mary Ellen Price Powers. He was a member of East Suffolk Gardens Civic League.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel L. Powers; daughters, Mrs. Rosa Goins of Roanoke Rapids, Ms. Princess P. McDonald of Suffolk, and Mrs. Angela P. Mallory of Halifax, N.C.; a son, Prince A. Powers Jr. of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Susie R. Joyner of Suffolk; an uncle, Raymond Powers of Roanoke Rapids; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; two sons-in-law, Kevin T. Mallory of Halifax and Roy Goins of Roanoke Rapids; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Beatrice Powers of Suffolk and Mrs. Mae Pearl Copeland of Lawton, Okla.; two brothers-in-law, R.D. Joyner of Suffolk, William Alexander of Portsmouth and Jessie Alexander Jr. of Suffolk; a father-in-law, Jessie J. Alexander Sr. of Suffolk.

A funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Crocker Funeral Home by Brother Ulysses S. Meeley. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the residence.
