Carol Ann Lawrence, 45, of the 100 block of Raccoon Drive, died Oct. 16, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
She was born July 15, 1951, in San Francisco, Calif. She was the daughter of the late Emmett Waterman, and had been employed at Naval Air Station, Oceana, with housekeeping, she had done volunteer work with the Currituck County Social Services Senior Citizens. Mrs. Lawrence attended Knotts Island United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Recie W. Waterman of Ceres, Calif, and the proud mother of a daughter, Kendra R. Lawrence and a son, Alan G. Lawrence, both of Knotts Island, she was the beloved sister of Sharon W. Lawrence of Virginia Beach, Brenda Bennett, Ellen Souza of San Mateo, Calif., Jill Pinillos of San Jose, Calif. and Douglas Waterman of Livermore, Calif.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Knotts Island Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and George Lawrence, 1841 N. Muddy Creed Road, Virginia Beach/ Memorial contributions may be made to Knotts Island United Methodist Church of the Knotts Island Ruritan Club. Twiford Funeral Home, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements.
