EUNICE HARMON

Eunice Harmon, 58, of the 1000 block of Johnson Circle died Oct. 15, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after a short illness.

A native of Boykins, Mrs. Harmon was the daughter of the Rev. Webster Nichols and Mrs. Carrie Nichols. She was employed by the Tasty-Baking Co. for 18 years and was a member of New Life Church, Franklin, where she was a choir member, played piano and was assistant to senior citizens ministry and a church greeter. She led praise and worship and Bible study services at Baker's Home for Adults.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Roosevelt Harmon; a son, Alvin Peebles; a brother, Paul Nichols; sisters, Louise Byrd, Nellie Jarrett and Helen Vincent; 40 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Piney Grove Baptist Church by Dr. William E. Saunders. Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery, Sedley. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is in charge.
