Wallace Black Elk, a Lakota shaman who helped found the American
Indian Movement, described his tribe's spirituality during a
conference Friday at the Association for Research and Enlightenment.
The conference, which continues through Sunday, brings major
spiritual leaders to the Oceanfront center. Matthew Fox, Episcopal
priest and author, will speak at 9:30 a.m. today, and Huston Smith,
featured on the PBS series ``The Wisdom of Faith,'' will speak at
7:45 p.m. today and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Tickets are available at the
