Willie M. Wethington Sr., 77, of the 1200 block of Commerce St. died Oct. 18, 1996.
A native of South Carolina, Mr. Wethington was a Methodist. He was a retired supervisor for John H. Hampshire Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Edna S. Wethington; sons, P. Gerald Wethington, Ronald W. Wethington, Willie M. Wethington Jr. and Bruce W. Wethington, all of Chesapeake, D. Richard Wethington of Richmond, Va., and Robert D. Wethington of North Carolina; daughters, Jacqueline Moniz of Hawaii and Patricia Mincey of South Carolina; his mother, Pearl Taylor Wethington of Chesapeake; a sister, Lucille Hancock of North Carolina; and their families, including 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Pete Taylor. Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
