EUGENE BOWMAN

Eugene ``Mr. B.'' Bowman, 61, of the 2000 block of Haviland Drive died Oct. 17, 1996, in a local hospital.

A native of Pensacola, Fla., Mr. Bowman was a Christian and a retired civil service employee at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard with 31 years service. He was a member of the shipyard union.

Survivors include his wife, Harriet D. Bowman; sons, David M. Bowman of Virginia Beach, Christopher S. Bowman of Virginia Beach and Bruce N. Showman of West Virginia; a brother, Joseph Francis Herring of Pensacola; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Dr. Richard Keever. Burial will be private. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice. Friends desiring to view may call today at the funeral home after noon. The family will receive friends in the residence, 2000 Haviland Drive (Ocean Lakes), Virginia Beach, at all times.
