DON'T MORALS, ETHICS COUNT?

Three polls in the Oct. 13 Pilot are very disturbing. The question was asked, ``Does Bill Clinton have high moral/ethical standards?'' Only 39 percent of America responded by saying yes. The same question was asked of Bob Dole, and an overwhelming 70 percent said Dole has high moral and ethical standards. Another question was asked: ``Is Bill Clinton honest and trustworthy?'' Only 43 percent of Americans feel he is. Once again, the same question was asked of Bob Dole, and an overwhelming 62 percent said Dole is honest and trustworthy.

Then the question, ``Who will you vote for?'' The response was overwhelmingly for Bill Clinton.

America, ask yourself this question: Why would you want a president who lacks high moral and ethical standards and a president who is neither honest nor trustworthy? If morals, ethics, honesty and trustworthiness are not important, what is?
