Elgie Naomi Finney Roady, 72, of the 1700 block of W. 49th St., died Oct. 17, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Roady was a native of Booneville, Ark., and a resident of Norfolk for more than 40 years. She was the widow of John Sid Roady Jr. She was a member of First Christian Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include her children, John Samuel Roady and his wife, Susan Marsh Roady, and Jimmy Dan Roady and his wife, Linda Harrison Roady, all of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Samantha Michelle Roady of New York City, N.Y., Matthew Marsh Roady of Norfolk, and Jimmy Dan Roady Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Hamden, Conn.; and two great-grandsons, Tyler James and Steven Matthew Roady, of Hamden, Conn.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Louis McPherren. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, Norfolk. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, will be handling the arrangements.
