Estelle N. ``Aunt Estelle'' Reid, 76, of the 3400 block of Monticello Drive died Oct. 17, 1996, in The Meadows.
A native of Danville, Va., Mrs. Reid was a retired civil service employee at Naval Air Station Norfolk in CINCLANT fleet personnel and the widow of Charlie A. Reid Jr. She was a member of Parkway Temple and the Chandelle Circle of Parkway Temple and Sentara Adult Day Care.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail Pargoe and her husband, Bobby, of Chesapeake, and Jackie Barham and her husband, George, of Chesapeake; a son, Ashley W. Reid and his wife, Lessie, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Erma Crane of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Danny and David Pargoe, Chris Green, Donna Dickens and Jim Reid; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Parkway Temple by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is in charge. The family will receive friends at Gail Pargoe's house in Chesapeake and at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p.m.
