Norman E. ``Gene'' Pavey, 54, of the 4500 block of Lee Avenue, died Oct. 19, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Pavey was a native of Norfolk and was an engineer technician at Hassell & Folkes P.C. in Chesapeake. He was a member of Bayside Baptist Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia L. Davey; a daughter, Deborah Adams of Norfolk; sons Samuel E. Pavey of Portsmouth and Joseph E. Pavey of Lake Worth, Fla.; parents, Eddie and Maude Pavey of Virginia Beach; a sister, Sandra Hegedus of Virginia Beach; three brothers, E.O. Pavey Jr. of Virginia Beach, William M. Pavey of Virginia Beach and Cecil D. Pavey of Alabama; a granddaughter, Brittany Adams of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Don Wilson. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bayside Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
