On Thursday, Oct. 17, 1996, our hearts were saddened by the passing of our loved one, wife and mother, Mary Virginia Gillespie, 53, of Route 612. Mary departed this life at MCV Hospital and was a native of Norfolk.
She leaves to cherish her memory a husband, Larry Blane Gillespie, a native of Norfolk; a son, Richard Blane Gillespie of Hague; three daughters, Mary Catherine Hinchee of Virginia Beach, Sandra Dee Caricofe of Haynesville, Va., Loretta Lynn Rose of Heathsville, Va.; two sisters, Carrie Elizabeth Groff and Shirley Gaddy, both of Virginia Beach; seven loving grandchildren, Christopher, September, David, Justin, Stoney, Michael and Barrett Baby (1997).
Family will be residing at the residence of Mary ``Catherine'' Hinchee in Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, on Monday, Oct. 21, 1996, from 6 to 8 p.m. A chapel service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
