Elsie Keeling Brown of the 2700 block of Monrovia Dr. died Oct. 17, 1996, in her residence.
A native of Princess Anne County, she worked for six years in the housekeeping department of Norfolk Naval Lodge. She was a member of Faith Deliverence Christian Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Gustelia Rodgers and Elsie Biggs, both of Norfolk; five sons, Frederick Brown, Toney Brown, David Brown, Daniel Brown, Jeffery Brown, all of Norfolk; six sisters; eight brothers, 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and special friend, Larry D. Madison Sr.; and a host of other releatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel at Hale Funeral Home by Bishop Barbara Amos. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family and friends will assemble at 2626 Grandy Ave. at 10 a.m. Tuesday for the procession to the funeral.
