What: Gregory earned a citation from the Virginia Fresh Water Fishing Program on Oct. 11 with a 7-pound, 2-ounce largemouth bass that was 23 1/4 inches long. It was her third bass citation of the year.
Where: She was along the rock ledge near the dam on Western Branch Reservoir in Suffolk.
How: She was fishing alone and jigging a 3/4-ounce Silver Buddy lure just off the bottom in 12 feet of water.
Personal: Gregory, 29, is a graduate of Oscar Smith High School. She works at the Western Branch Fishing Station on the lake. She and fiance Darryl Floyd live off Turlington Road near Kilby Shores. She is the daughter of Bill and Yvonne Gregory of Chesapeake.
