MAN FOUND DEAD

Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch in the Huntersville section of the city.

A child found the body of a young, black male about 6 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Town Point Road and Hunter's Drive, according to Mike Simpkins, a spokesman for Suffolk police. The man's identity has not been released.

The man was fully clothed, and his body probably had been there for several days, Simpkins said.

His cause of death was unknown.

Anyone with information about the death is asked to call Suffolk Police at 925-6350 or Suffolk Crime Line at 539-1222.
