Mary Virginia Gillespie, 53, a native of Norfolk, died Oct. 17, 1996 at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James N. Peel. She is survived by her husband, Larry B. Gillespie; her son, Richard B. Gillespie; three daughters, Mary Catherine Hinchee of Virginia Beach, Sandra Dee Caricofe of Haynesville, Va., Loretta Lynn Rose of Heathsville, Va.; two sisters, Carrie E. Groff and Shirley Gaddy, both of Virginia Beach; seven loving grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A chapel service will be held at Kellum Funeral Home at 3 p.m. today. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
