Edna Artis Cameron, 68, of the 2800 block of Bayne Ave. died Oct. 18, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Cameron was the widow of Brummitt Cameron Sr. and the daughter of the late Edna Bowser and Jesse T. Artis. She retired ten months ago as a parent technician for the Norfolk Public Schools after 22 years and five months of service. She was a member of St. John's AME Church, Norfolk and the Female Usher Board. She was a member of United Order of Tent's and Mammie E. Gordon Tent (NU)576.
Survivors include two daughters, Laurinda Cameron of Washington, D.C., Burnetta Cameron of Arlington, Va.; three sons, Brummitt Cameron Jr. of Washington, D.C., Cornell Cameron, Adrian Cameron of Norfolk; a sister, Irma Artis Speller of Chesapeake; a brother, Elton Artis of Virginia Beach; and a grandchild, Regina Edna Cameron.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John's AME Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
