Virginia Devany Davies, 64, of 515 Darden Ave., died in her residence on Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996.
Ms. Davies was born in Norfolk. She graduated from Maury High School, Norfolk, and Obici School of Nursing. She was a retired registered nurse, having worked at Obici Hospital and Olsten Kimberly Quality Care. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include five children, Major Walter Jeffrey Davies of Fort Bliss, Texas, Thomas Christian Davies, Mary Davies Edens, Edward Devany Davies, all of Suffolk, Charles Richardson Davies of Charlottesville; a brother, Edward Heath Devany of Chapel Hill, N.C.; seven grandchildren; three nieces; and a nephew.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Rev. Vance Mann. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the residence from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice at Obici Hospital. Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
