Visual pollution in the city of Virginia Beach has been addressed, and perhaps millions of tax dollars spent, in the beautification of the resort area. Undoubtedly thousands of additional dollars have been invested by individual businesses to conform to the ``smaller sign ordinance.'' I say terrific.
But a huge, grossly offensive moving billboard has perhaps gone unnoticed. I am referring to the painting of the TRT buses. I will grant you that some are less offensive than others, but they certainly do not blend into the background. They scream at me: ``Ugly, Ugly.''
Am I the only one who finds these moving billboards to be contrary to what Virginia Beach is trying to accomplish?
