BARBARA M. BROWN

Barbara Mary Brown, of the 2200 block of Lafayette Blvd., died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

She had retired after 31 years as a civil service stenographer at the Norfolk Naval Air Station. She was born in Rutland, Vt., and was the daughter of the late Milton G. and Marie Griswold Brown. Miss Brown was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, where she was a member of the church choir for over 43 years.

Survivors include three nephews, Edward E. Martin of Charlotte, N.C., Milton Martin of Bedford, Va., Edward G. Himes of Mayfield, N.Y.; and her caring friends, James and Marilyn Boykin of Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the Church of the Epiphany by the Rev. Richard O. Bridgford. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Epiphany, 1530 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va. 23509. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
