Betty Harris Tuttle, 56, of the 1100 block of Geranium Crescent, died Oct. 20, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital
Born in Hanover County, Va., she was the widow of Melvin E. ``Jim'' Tuttle. She was a member of Virginia Beach Christian Church, Ladies Oriental Shrine of Norfolk, Zulekia Court (NU)35 and the Pagentry Unit.
Survivors include two daughters, Valerie Wertz of Virginia Beach, Susan Lewis of Baltimore; mother, Doris Wickouski of Doswell, Va.; a half-sister, Helen Marie Stanley of Beaverdam, Va.; two granddaughters, Sarah Jane Wertz and Samantha Renae Wertz.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Virginia Beach Christian Church by Dr. William Austin. Burial will be in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Beaverdam. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Beach Christian Church.
