He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Donna Smith of Newark, N.J.; his parents, Elsie and Sylvester Smith of Norfolk; four brothers, Ivan Smith of Edison, N.J., Michael, Keith and Darrel Smith of Norfolk; a sister, Katherine Edward of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a son, Lovell Bennett of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three stepchildren, Clifton and Raina Pearson of Newark, N.J., and Shireka Burnett of Newark, N.J.; two step-grandchildren; grandfather and grandmother Albert and Nita Anderson of Lakewood, N.J.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends, the Winder Family and Russell Williams.
