Dora (Dorothy) Edwards, died Oct. 21, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
She was born Nov. 9, 1901, in Kent County, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Thomas Pardo and Martha Rachel Arnold. After graduating from Kitchener, Ontario Nursing School in 1922, she immigrated to the United States. She is the widow of Frank A. Edwards. They lived in Meadville, Pa., for many years. She was a member of Christian Alliance Church. In 1976 she moved to Virginia Beach.
Survivors include two sons, James Edwards of Cortez, Fla., and Richard Edwards of Virginia Beach; a sister Elma Hodges of Jackson, Mi.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services and interment will be in Meadville, Pa. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
