Henry E. Peters, 81, died Oct. 22, 1996.
Born in Roanoke, Va., he was retired from Norfolk Naval Air Station. He was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and Atlantic Masonic Lodge (NU)2. He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Blue Lodge and also served in the Tidewater area as a Boy Scout leader.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Peters; two sons, Richard C. Peters of Tampa, Fla., Henry W. Peters of Manassas, Va.; six grandchildren, Bill Peters of Marietta, Ga., Susan Wisman of Louisville, Ky., Selden Richards of Virginia Beach, Janice Rayl, Mary Beth Sisk, both of Manassas, Laura Buckman of Montgomery, Ala.; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ocean View Baptist Church by Dr. David Clay. Burial will be in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Prince William County, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
