Myrtle Lee Proctor, 77, of the 400 block of Scarborough Drive died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Proctor was born in old Norfolk County and was the daughter of the late Miles Henry and Martha Mildred Powers Halstead. She was the widow of Earl Malcon Proctor. Mrs. Proctor was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia S. Wyrick, and her husband, Ralph, of Chesapeake; her granddaughter, Vicki L. Walski and her husband, Jerry, of Chesapeake; her two grandsons, Robert A. Smith Jr. and his partner, Kara, of Chesapeake, and Malcon Bland Smith and his wife, Shelly, of Moyock, N.C.; two sisters, Bessie Virginia Hackworth and Hazel M. Warren, both of Chesapeake; and three great-grandchidren, Melissa Nicole Walski, Courtney Michele Walski and Karlee Grace Smith, all of Chesapeake.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Earl Sutton. Interment will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times at 415 Scarborough Drive.
