Julian Carroll Blake, 86, of the 800 block of Rodin Lane, died Oct. 23, 1996, at the home of his granddaughter, Sherrie Castilloux.
Mr. Blake was born July 16, 1910, in Hyde County, N.C. He was the son of the late George Allen and Nannie Blake and the husband of the late Ethel M. Blake. Mr. Blake was retired from the Recreational Department of the State of Virginia. He was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Edna Parrish of Virginia Beach and Doris McCluskey of Benton Harbor, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake.
