Edith Annette Cochran, 84, of the 300 block of Burleigh Ave., died Oct. 20, 1996.
A native of Norfolk, she was born Nov. 24, 1911. The daughter of the late Willis John and Martha Martin Ellis, she was the wife of the late William Otis Cochran. Mrs. Cochran was a retired private duty care-giver. She was a member of Zion Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Cochran and Shirley C. Buck and her husband, Jack, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Lorraine Arthur of Portsmoth and Lois Hudson of Chesapeake; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted in Zion Grace United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Todd Schlechty officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Zion Grace United Methodist Church, 1440 W. Little Creek Road, Norfolk, Va., or to a favorite charity. Twiford Funeral Home, Ghent Chapel, is in charge.
