TUESDAY
PENN & TELLER
AH, WHO CAN FORGET the magic moments created by Penn & Teller? Like the time they unleashed thousands of cockroaches virtually in the lap of a horrified talk show host. They are also known for playing with knives, fire and other potentially dangerous things, and being extremely, bizarrely funny in the process. They bring it all to Willett Hall in Portsmouth on Tuesday. Show time: 8 p.m. Tickets: $15-$25, available at Ticketmaster locations or the box office. 671-8100 to order tickets. 393-5144 for info.

MONDAY
SAMMY KERSHAW
HIS VOICE SOUNDS like George Jones, but his lyrics are straight outta the local bar & grill. A song can't get much more down-home than Sammy Kershaw's big hit, ``Queen of My Double-Wide Trailer.'' The current King of Bubba brings his rollicking show to the Cavalier Hotel Beach Club, 42nd and Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach on Monday. The show's at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $17.50 in advance, available at Ticketmaster outlets. 425-8555.

SUNDAY
CHRYSLER MUSEUM OF ART
The Chrysler Museum of Art gets festive Sunday for a 25th anniversary celebration: In 1971, the late Walter P. Chrysler Jr. transformed a fine regional museum into a world-class institution.
From 1 to 5 p.m., the grounds will be alive with clowns, dancers and marionettes, including storyteller Lynn Ruehlmann (2 p.m.) and the Bay Youth Orchestra (2:30 p.m.). Family admission (two adults and up to four kids) is $12; $10 for members. Otherwise, entry is $4 for adults, $2.50 for youngsters. 664-6200.
